Art Resident at Sorensen & Browne Elementary Schools

Coeur d'Alene, ID & Spokane, WA

Artist Anne Hedin collaborated with two different schools in 2021 to make unforgettable artwork that can be enjoyed by all. Hedin's goal was to make it possible for all ages to successfully collaborate with her to make giant contemporary pantings.

During the months of May/June Hedin worked with Sorensen Elementary Kindergarten,1st, and 2nd grade students to make three large canvas paintings and 5 smaller ones. The latter she donated to the school library for kids to check out like they do library books. The paintings were on display at the CDA Resorts Shop Plaza for CDA June's Artwalk.

During the months of April/May Hedin worked 4-6th grade Browne Elementary students

to create 7 different art pieces that were on display at the Wonder Building downtown Spokane May 7th 202. This venue was free to the public and this project was supported by Spokane Arts SAGA.The two large canvas paintings will be on permanent display at Browne supported by the Browne Elementary PTA.

Behind the scenes footage, student interviews, and artwork can be found on the vides and gallery below .
